A typical example
Orders come in through the shop. Someone types them into the invoicing system, then copies the totals into a spreadsheet for the accountant. Three places, two chances to make a typo, half a day a week. A script that moves the orders across every hour, and shouts when one fails, usually takes a few days to build.
